Alzheimer's: Caring for the Caregiver
Practical information and support are critical for caregivers supporting a loved one struggling with a form of Dementia, particularly Alzheimer’s Disease. The workshop will focus on maintaining dignity for both the caregiver and the person challenged with the disease. We’ll review the direct effects on the brain and ways it can impact a person’s life, what caregivers can do to help versus what’s harmful, and how self-care plays a critical role in the process.
Participants are encouraged to engage in table discussion and share their experiences, leaving with a better understanding of the disease, some best practices and knowledge that they’re not alone.
Registration is open through Wednesday, March 9.
